How long does my FREE analysis and quotation take?
Depending on the complexity of the damage and our workload your analysis and quotation usually takes between 48 and 72 hours.
How should I pack my media?
We recommend a good quality cardboard shipping box. Ensure that the drive is well packed with sufficient amounts of foam and/bubble warp to ensure that the drive does not move and become further damaged in transit.
How should I get my media to you?
We advise using a reliable courier company or pack it according to instructions and post it to us by Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery.
From where can I send my media to you?
We are currently open to accepting media from the United Kingdom only. Please do not send any media from other countries as we will not be liable for their return.
What if you cannot recover my files?
In the event that nothing can be recovered from your media then we will not charge you for the attempted recovery process. A small fee applies for the return of your media though if you choose not to have the media returned we will destroy it for you free of charge.
Why do media devices fail?
Due to the system architecture and regular use, all media will eventually fail. Most cases of media failure are either due to logical, physical or electronic failure of the media. On average media drives should be replaced at least every 10 years
How do I know what you have recovered?
Once your media have been analysed, we will provide a visual snapshot of the contents of a folder of your choice so you can confirm you are happy to proceed with the quotation.
How do you return my data back to me?
We use Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or Royal Special Delivery for the return of both your new external media along with the failed drive. We use TNT and UPS for larger packages and laptops.
Is my data safe with you?
We are proud to be bound by the clauses held within our privacy policies and by GDPR regulations. In order to protect your data we do only perform recovery upon machines which are not connected to the internet, which provides you with additional reassurance
